Terms of Service

1. The Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between MyEduOS (“we”, “us”) and the educational institution, society, trust, or authorized individual (“Institution”, “Customer”, or “you”) subscribing to or using the MyEduOS educational operating platform.

By creating an organization account, starting a free trial, or authorizing staff access to the platform, you warrant that you have the organizational authority to bind your school, college, or trust to these Terms.

2. Institutional Data Ownership & IP

We respect that educational institutions steward sensitive academic and personal records:

• Your Data: All data, including student profiles, exam grades, attendance punches, financial ledgers, staff rosters, and custom documents uploaded to the platform, remains your sole property.
• No Secondary Use: MyEduOS does not sell, lease, or monetize customer data. We will not use student or parent information to target commercial advertisements.
• MyEduOS Intellectual Property: MyEduOS retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the platform software, user interface designs, logos, documentation, and underlying proprietary algorithms.

3. Permitted Use & Account Governance

Your institution is responsible for maintaining administrative hygiene:

• Credential Security: Keep all administrator and faculty credentials confidential. We strongly recommend enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for all Super Admin and School Admin accounts.
• Role Assignment: Grant administrative roles (Accountant, Teacher, Transport Manager, Librarian) only to authorized personnel on a principle of least privilege.
• Lawful Authority: Ensure that your institution has the lawful right to collect and maintain student, guardian, and staff records in compliance with applicable education board guidelines and privacy regulations.

4. Subscriptions, Trials & Payments

MyEduOS offers transparent subscription tiers designed for institutions of every scale:

• 14-Day Free Trial: New institutions receive a fully featured 14-day trial without requiring a credit card or banking details. Trial accounts may be converted into active subscriptions at any point during or immediately following the trial period.
• Subscription Fees: Paid plans are billed annually or monthly based on enrolled student capacity or campus count as agreed in your order schedule.
• Fee Collection Gateway Integration: When utilizing automated online fee collection via Razorpay UPI and card gateways, transaction processing fees are determined by the payment gateway partner. The institution remains solely responsible for refund policies and dispute resolution with guardians.

5. Service Availability & Maintenance

MyEduOS targets an operational service availability of 99.9% uptime, excluding scheduled maintenance.

• Scheduled Maintenance: Platform updates and database optimizations are performed during off-peak hours (typically 01:00 to 04:00 IST on weekends) with advance notice provided on our Live Status Page.
• Disaster Recovery: Daily automated encrypted snapshots are maintained across redundant cloud zones to ensure high availability and business continuity for all schools.

6. Termination & 30-Day Data Export Guarantee

Either party may terminate the subscription agreement in accordance with the terms of their active order schedule. In the event of subscription conclusion or cancellation:

• 30-Day Export Window: Your institution is granted full administrative access for 30 calendar days to export all student rosters, exam marks, attendance logs, and financial ledgers via our self-serve data export tools in open CSV and JSON formats.
• Cryptographic Decommissioning: Following the 30-day export grace period, all tenant-isolated database partitions and stored file assets are securely and permanently purged from active production servers.
